Our Cyber Security Just Got Stronger
In light of the increasing sophistication of cyber threats, we at The Wealth Designers are committed to safeguarding your personal information.
That’s why we’ve recently implemented a series of enhanced measures to strengthen our existing cyber security framework, aligned with the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) Essential Eight Maturity Model at Maturity Level Two. These improvements provide an even more robust defence against potential cyber incidents and ensure that your information remains safe with us.
Key Enhancements to Your Data Protection
Here’s what we’ve upgraded behind the scenes:
- Application Control
Only approved software can now run within our systems, reducing the risk of malicious applications.
- Patch Management
Critical updates to applications and systems are applied within two weeks of release, closing known vulnerabilities faster.
- Macro Settings Configuration
We’ve disabled macros for most users and implemented controls to block potentially harmful macro activities.
- User Application Hardening
Web browsers, PDF readers and other commonly used applications have stricter security settings to limit exposure to cyber threats.
- Administrative Privilege Restrictions
We now grant admin-level access only where absolutely necessary, and review access regularly to prevent unauthorised changes.
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
We’ve expanded our MFA system, requiring more than one method of identity verification for secure access.
- Regular Backups
Our refined backup processes ensure faster recovery and added protection in the event of a data incident.
- Event Logging and Monitoring
Our upgraded system monitoring enables us to detect and respond more swiftly to suspicious activity.
Protecting Your Data Is Not a One-Off
These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to keeping your information safe. We will continue to invest in security infrastructure that upholds the highest standards of protection and resilience.
