How TWD is tackling public misconceptions of financial advisers
The Wealth Designers’ Senior Wealth Adviser, Dawn Thomas, is a woman on a mission.
She believes in the power of financial planning to change people’s lives. But first, according to Dawn, financial advisers need to change their public perception.
As a profession, Dawn thinks that financial advisers are not yet fully recognised for the expertise, qualifications and value they add.
Dawn is passionate about creating change, and she is fired up to influence a younger generation to make good financial decisions.
Dawn’s credibility stems from not only her wealth of experience but also her academic studies and research. Dawn’s PhD research is focussed on Gen Z’s lack of interest in Superannuation, and how to build engagement and forward-looking financial behaviours.
Watch out world, here comes the Dawn!
Dawn’s big ideas were recently featured in the IFA magazine, you can read more (and listen to her interview on this topic) here: https://www.ifa.com.au/news/34820-how-this-adviser-is-tackling-public-misconceptions-of-financial-advisers
Dawn, along with Principal Wealth Adviser, Cara Graham, also take action to help the next gen through running The Wealth Designers’ latest initiative – a financial literacy program called START WELL™.
This program is offered free of charge to the children and grandchildren of our clients and aims to educate young people about wealth creation and building a life with both money and meaning. START WELL™ encourages smart decisions from an early age regarding spending, superannuation, and investments.
