TWD Awarded Practice of the Year

We’re excited to announce that TWD Australia was named the AFA Practice of the Year at the 2018 AFA National Advisers Conference.

Even being nominated is an honour; we were among only three national grand finalists for 2018. Cara, Steve and myself flew to the Gold Coast for the annual gala dinner this week and were thrilled when the announcement was read out.

It has been a long process, over a number of months, which included client surveying (we can’t thank you enough for participating in this), full best practice benchmarking, a visit & audit of our TWD office and finally, a presentation showcase in Sydney. Through this we were able demonstrate our values, point of difference and abilities, but the win is really a result of having such a strong and committed team who have all worked so hard to achieve this kind of recognition.

AFA accolades are awarded to “extraordinary and visionary advisers and practices, recognising the quality of leadership, innovation and commitment to professional excellence.” This year also took into account financial performance, client satisfaction and contribution to the financial literacy of clients.

Ultimately this process has offered validation that we’re on the right track and that our long-term goals of changing the industry are for the better.

At a time when banks and many financial institutions are facing scrutiny for inappropriate advice, we’re happy to be in a select group being acknowledged for the opposite: meaningful advice which aligns with our strong moral compass.
